Transforming Outdoor Spaces for Over 50 Years

This all started with Tim (centre) and his company, Courtney Surfacing, back in the '70s - laying driveways the right way, with care, pride, and a focus on quality that people could count on. Decades later, we’re still carrying on that tradition. As of 2025, Tim has now (more or less) retired! 

Alex (right) takes pride in getting every detail just right. It’s this careful approach that makes his work not only visually stunning, but it stands the test of time. No shortcuts. No rushed jobs. Just solid workmanship and a clean, professional result, every single time.

Before stepping into the family trade, Neil (left) chose a different path - joining the Marines. It turned out to be a brilliant decision. The discipline, teamwork, and high standards he learned there only strengthened the values he brings to the job today: show up on time, do the work properly, and don’t leave until everyone’s proud of the result.

We’ve been in this trade for decades - long before likes, shares, and even websites. Back then, your name was only as good as your last job, and that’s the mindset we’ve stuck with ever since. We don’t have a social media presence; we focus on what matters: turning up on time, doing quality work, and leaving customers happy enough to recommend us. That’s how we do it, and ideally that’s how we'd keep it.
